A song about our experiences of writing our first songs.

Lyrics

Sometimes I Wonder

Sometimes I wonder
Where did those old songs go
All the ones we wrote back when
Some will stay with you
Many will desert you
And some of them will come back again
Sometimes I wonder if it’s really worth
All the sacrifice we make
For the life we want
The life we get
The life we just have to take

And if we sing
We're so lucky we can sing
And if we cry
We never promised not to cry
And if you look for them when the moon goes down
Oh look for them and they'll be around
They'll be there in the evening
In the firelight
There in the cold, the cold dead of night
Don’t you know they'll be there
Don’t you know they'll be there
Don’t you know they'll be there
'Cause I used to sing them
I used to sing them too
All we ever wanted
Was for to sing them to you
'Cause I used to sing them
I used to sing them too
All we ever wanted
Was for to sing them to you

I can barely remember
I was maybe twelve years old
An’ trying to write my first song
Some kind of protest
An Easy Rider ballad
Something Woody might have done
A man was walking in Tranquility
Saying all mankind could fly
But my folks were listening
Only to me
An’ it was my song that made them cry

And if we sing….
